Forklift Accident at Toyota Manufacturing Facility

In March of 2016, our client worked at Toyota Manufacturing’s facility in San Antonio, Texas, when without warning, an employee of the manufacturing facility moved a pallet toward our client with a forklift.

Our client’s foot was pinned between two pallets leaving her in agony for a substantial amount of time.  Our client’s foot was significantly disfigured and she was left with multiple torn tendons.  As she was unable to work due to her injuries, the Amaro Law Firm hired an economist to calculate her lost earnings and loss of earning capacity for her future.

The defendant’s lawyers attempted to argue that the forklift driver was not an employee of the company, and therefore the company was not liable.  Our firm discovered that the forklift driver was not properly qualified, nor was he properly trained and the company was negligent in giving him access to the forklift.

We settled our client’s case at mediation for a confidential and significant amount.
