Originally from Minnesota, Jason relocated to Texas in the early 1980s. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from Sam Houston State University. Before entering the legal profession, Jason taught English at Huntsville High School, Sam Houston State University, and Lone Star College. He also worked as a Financial Services Associate with Prudential Financial, where he obtained his Series 7 stockbroker and Group 1 insurance licenses.
Jason earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from South Texas College of Law in 2009. During law school, he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and inducted into several academic honor societies, including the Order of the Lytae and Phi Delta Phi. He also served as Assistant Editor of the South Texas Law Review, where his article, “Selling Your Death: Regulating Investor-Initiated Life Insurance Contracts as Securities,” was published.
Since becoming licensed to practice law in Texas in 2010, Jason has devoted his practice to personal injury litigation.
Outside the courtroom, Jason is a dedicated husband and father of two. He is active in his local congregation at Kinsman Lutheran Church and is a passionate long-distance runner, and has completed three marathons and numerous other long distance races.
