About David Miller
After graduation, David Miller enrolled in the University of Alabama School of Law and continued pursuing his humanitarian passions working in the Elder Law Clinic while obtaining his Law Degree. The Elder Law Clinic provides pro bono legal services to members of the community over sixty years old who would otherwise be unable to afford legal representation. David’s extracurricular activities included acting as Junior Editor for the Journal of Legal Profession. David immersed himself in International Banking and Comparative Law during a summer term spent in Switzerland at the Fribourg University Law School.
After law school, David Miller began working for the Houston-based law firm Arguello, Hope & Associates, PLLC, in the Birmingham, Alabama office where he assisted clients in handling their property insurance claims after a devastating tornado struck Tuscaloosa and Birmingham in April of 2011. This was the largest tornado outbreak in U.S. history during which over 350 tornadoes formed in a few short days.
David moved to Houston in 2013 to join Amaro Law Firm to assist in handling a joint-venture docket of BP Oil Spill claims with Arguello, Hope & Associates and the Amaro Law Firm.
After two years with Amaro Law Firm, David Miller took over as the firm’s Managing Attorney and has overseen a period of rapid growth from 8 to 50+ employees. He has built a professional relationship and close connection with many of his clients while working with them on their claims and hearing their personal stories over the past four years. Working on these cases has provided David the invaluable opportunity to promote the “Clients come first” philosophy that is so vital to the Amaro Law Firm’s mission.
David’s dedication to his new role has provided him the opportunity to become increasingly involved in the career development and management of his fellow team members at the Amaro Law Firm. He plays a substantive role in the firm’s Marketing, Human Resources, Office Administration, IT, and the firm’s charitable endeavors.
As a Louisiana native, David deeply appreciates a melting pot of culture and food. His move to Houston has introduced him to authentic Tex-Mex, a thriving China-Town, and an overwhelming number of options for BBQ, while also intensifying his love for his favorite staples: innovative burger joints, diners and delis, and a huge variety of crawfish and seafood. You name the culinary offering and David is excited to try it. He also enjoys cheering on the Astros, the New Orleans Saints, and the LSU Tigers.
