Our client was injured on the job while working with a maintenance crew to repair a broken pipeline.  The crew had to open an excavation site and dig a trench to reach the pipeline for repairs.  The employer of the worksite did not properly inspect the trench for safety compliance or verify that the worksite was safe for workers to enter.  As a result of this failure, the trench collapsed on our client while he was working in it.  He was crushed by the trench collapse and suffered gruesome physical injuries, including a severely shattered ankle.
