The Amaro Law Firm had the privilege to represent a family of seven who were injured after an 18-wheeler commercial vehicle sideswiped the family’s vehicle while travelling on the highway. The force of the collision caused all the airbags on the driver’s side of our clients’ vehicle to deploy and forced our clients’ vehicle off the road.

Each of our clients sustained serious injuries in this collision – the driver of our clients’ vehicle was the most severely injured in the collision.  The driver sustained a fracture to her thoracic spine and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit to care for her broken back.

As the driver of the vehicle was unable to work after the collision, our firm hired a vocational and economist expert to evaluate the driver’s ability to work and her loss of earning capacity due to the injuries she sustained in the collision.

After a mediation and extensive work with and through the mediator after mediation, our firm was able to negotiate a settlement for each one of the injured clients in order to compensate for their significant injuries.
