2024 Amaro Law Firm Scholarship Requirements Announced, See How to Apply

2024 Amaro Law Firm Scholarship Requirements

Carrying on a Tradition of Giving Back, We’re Gearing Up for This Year’s Scholarship Program

April 15th isn’t just Tax Day. This year, there’s another reason to mark your calendar on Monday, April 15th — and that’s because it’s the first day that the Amaro Law Firm will begin accepting submissions for its 2024 scholarship program.

Devoted to giving back, supporting higher education, and improving lives, the Amaro Law Firm sponsors an annual scholarship each spring, selecting a theme and choosing one winner from many qualifying entries.

This year, we are asking submissions to focus on answering this question:

What plans do you have to be used and useful to others after college?

Find out why, what it takes to qualify for this year’s scholarship award, the deadline for entry, and more below.

2024 Scholarship Contest Requirements

How to Apply for the 2024 Amaro Law Firm Scholarship To qualify for our scholarship program this year, applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Enrollment: Applicants must be actively enrolled in and attending a public high school in Fort Bend County ISD or Lamar Consolidated ISD as a senior. Applicants must also plan on attending a college or university full-time during the 2024-2025 year.
  • Academics: Applicants must be in good academic standing at their current institution, meaning they are not failing any courses, facing suspension, or under expulsion.
  • Permissions: Applicants under 18 need permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter our contest.

2024 Scholarship Entry Requirements

Along with the above, applicants must submit either an essay or a video that meets the following requirements:

  • Essay Submissions: Essays must be 3 to 5 pages long, with 12-point font, justified text, and Times New Roman font.
  • Video Submissions: All videos must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo and be no more or no less than five minutes long. Privacy-sharing settings are encouraged.

Applicants only need to enter one of the above submissions for consideration; however, they can provide both when their submissions complement or support each other.

2024 Scholarship Entry Topic

This year, we are asking applicants to discuss their plans for being “used and useful to others after college.” In the spirit of honoring success and giving back, we want to hear how applicants intend to launch and grow their careers, contribute to their communities, and apply their knowledge in ways that will have a positive impact.

At the Amaro Law Firm, we believe that being useful can ignite true lifelong passions that motivate and inspire us to work toward our goals and improve our community. That’s why we’re eager to see how applicants answer this question with their essay or video submissions.

2024 Scholarship Deadline & Where to Enter

The Amaro Law Firm has opened up 8 weeks for applicants to submit their entries and compete for this year’s $5,000 scholarship award. The funds must be used towards higher education costs.

Participants can start submitting entries on April 15, 2024.

The deadline for consideration is June 15, 2024.
