Grocery store slip and fall

On a rainy day after work, our client stopped at a Waco, Texas grocery store on her way home.  As she walked past the checkout lanes toward the produce, she slipped and fell on water that had pooled on the floor.

As a store clerk helped our client into a wheelchair, her pants were wet and her left ankle had already started to swell.  As a result of her fall, our client broke her ankle and suffered from herniated discs in her lower back.

When the grocery store blamed our client for her fall, our litigation attorneys filed a lawsuit.  We discovered that the store did have a policy to put out mats in front of the store during the rain.  However, on the day our client fell, the mats were not put out, and customers tracked water into the store.
