Dog attacks minor child

Our client, a five year old boy, was at a family friend’s ranch with his father preparing for a December hunt.  Unbeknownst to our client’s father, the friend had a known to be aggressive dog that lived on the property.  While the property owner stated that he had locked the dog in a room for visitors’ safety, the dog escaped and viciously attacked our minor client.

As a result of the ferocious attack, our client sustained lacerations to his face, the back of his head, his left leg, and his left arm, and needed twenty-two staples to close the lacerations to his head.

After opening a claim with the property owner’s homeowner’s policy, our attorneys were able to reach a confidential settlement for our minor client while he received the essential treatment he needed.  Our team also provided young boy’s family with financial advisors to organize an investment plan that will help set up the child’s future despite his traumatic experience.
