Improper u-turn causes collision

Our client was driving in the left-hand lane of a two-lane road.  Another driver, traveling in the right-hand lane, attempted to make a u-turn in front of our client’s oncoming vehicle.  This driver struck our client’s vehicle, causing damage down the entire passenger side of our client’s vehicle.

During the collision, our client struck his head on the window of his vehicle.  He had very little memory of the collision itself due to his head injury.  In addition to his head injury, our client sustained significant neck injuries which necessitated a fusion surgery.

After the Defendant driver was served with the lawsuit, a new adjuster was assigned to the file. The liability policy for the at-fault driver was tendered before the Defendant’s answer to the lawsuit was due, eliminating the need for potentially costly depositions and discovery.

Our team continued working for our client after the third party policy was tendered and reached a confidential settlement with our client’s own underinsured motorist insurance as well.
