Prior to joining Amaro Law Firm, Nicholas built a strong foundation in personal injury law as an associate attorney at a prominent plaintiffs’ firm. There, he worked on cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, representing clients whose lives had been turned upside down by devastating events. Nicholas gained valuable courtroom and litigation experience, from investigating complex fact patterns to developing trial strategy and advocating for clients against powerful defendants.

Nicholas’ prior experience prepared him to successfully transition to another firm as a lead trial lawyer, where he managed his own docket of cases and continued pursuing justice on behalf of his clients with both skill and compassion.

Before beginning his legal career, Nicholas attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he distinguished himself both academically and athletically. As a member of the Men’s Ice Hockey team competing at a high level, he demonstrated the discipline, resilience, and leadership that would later define his approach to law. He graduated as a Hockey East Distinguished Scholar, an honor recognizing his ability to excel in the classroom and on the ice. After graduation, Nicholas went on to play professional hockey before pivoting to pursue his law degree.

Following his undergraduate studies and career in professional hockey, Nicholas earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Balancing work and night classes, he graduated with high honors in the top 10% of his class. During law school, he was recognized with awards for excellence in legal research and writing and served as an articles editor for the Journal of Health Law and Policy. He gained meaningful advocacy experience by representing disabled claimants in federal administrative proceedings, where he helped secure critical health insurance coverage and financial benefits for those in need.

After passing the bar, Nicholas found a natural fit as plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, where he was able to build on the advocacy skills he developed in law school. Helping injured clients seek justice and rebuild their lives proved to be a deeply rewarding start to his career, reinforcing his commitment to standing up against negligence and misconduct.
