Cinemark Movie Theatre Injury

In August of 2018, our client was a customer at a movie theatre in Harris County, Texas when he was injured in a fall due to a hazard on stairs.  The recessed floor lighting—the primary function of which was to provide illumination and a demarcation of each step’s location—was not in working order.  The fall resulted in a broken arm and head injury.  Our client, who was a highly functioning scientist, missed time from work and incurred significant travel costs since he could not drive with his head injury per his doctor’s instructions.

The theater denied that it had any liability for our client’s injuries, and our litigation attorneys filed suit.  Within six months of aggressive litigation, our attorneys were able to negotiate a substantial settlement that compensated our client for the lost wages, expenses, and medical bills he incurred in addition to his pain and suffering.
