18 wheeler wreck – multi-vehicle collision

Our client was driving his Ford Expedition on the North Freeway in Houston with his three grandchildren as backseat passengers and his wife in the front passenger seat when the family vehicle was rear-ended by an eighteen-wheeler.  After the initial collision with our clients’ vehicle, another four cars, and six individuals were affected.  Our clients sustained the most serious injuries reported after the wreck, including the grandfather’s torn rotator cuff that required surgery to repair.

Our team was able to obtain the dashcam footage from one of the other involved vehicles which captured the collision with our client’s vehicle.  The dashcam footage clearly showed that the eighteen-wheeler driver failed to control his speed on the busy Houston highway and collided with our clients’ first.

Our attorneys organized a global mediation to settle the interests of all eleven individuals affected by the collision.  During this mediation, our clients received the lion’s share of a commercial insurance policy and the case settled just over fifteen months after the wreck.
