About Phillip Lopez

Phillip Lopez was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, then returned home to attend South Texas College of Law, where he served as a Student Ambassador, Vice President of the Criminal Law Society, and a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association.

While still in law school, Phillip clerked for several Houston-area firms, gaining early experience in personal injury, probate, and estate planning matters. That experience led to a position as a Briefing Attorney for the Honorable Michael B. Newman in Harris County Probate Court No. 2, where he performed legal research and wrote opinions for the judge.

Before joining Amaro Law Firm, he spent several years as a plaintiffs’ attorney in North Carolina, representing clients in cases involving vehicle accidents, injuries tied to property or defective products, and wrongful death.

Phillip is proud to be part of Amaro Law Firm and to work from its Houston headquarters, where he brings diligence and compassion to every case and works to pursue the strongest possible outcome for each client he represents.

In his free time, Phillip enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats, attending concerts and sporting events, and getting outdoors to fish or play golf.
