INJURED IN THE ENTERPRISE EXPLOSION IN LA PORTE TEXAS?

An explosion and fire at Enterprise Products plant in Morgan’s Point occurred December 31, 2013 at approximately 10:30 am. According to reports, authorities said the explosion at the Enterprise plant occurred in their meter-run facility. This is where liquid petroleum gas is measured before being pumped into barges or ships. It was reported that contractors were working in the area when the explosion at Enterprise occurred. News helicopters showed flames shooting 50-60 feet in the air. Officials said two plant workers suffered injuries in the blast. A shelter in place was not issued.
