Forrest County Truck Accident Kills Pickup Driver, Investigation Ongoing

A horrific truck wreck has recently taken the life of a 28-year-old man from Hattiesburg, MS. According to the latest reports, the fatal crash occurred just after 6:30 am on Monday, June 19th when an 18-wheeler truck and a pickup truck collided at an intersection near Highways 98 and 49.

The victim, identified as Clyde Dempsey Moore, was driving the pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict.

The investigation into this wreck is still ongoing. Consequently, authorities with the Hattiesburg Police Department (HPD) have not released any further information regarding the driver of the 18-wheeler and the suspected causes of the crash.
