Reasons For the GM Recall
The GM recall on the defective ignition switches has made headlines all over the world. The company issued the GM recall when an investigation found that the faulty switches can change position unexpectedly. If the switch gets bumped, jarred, or weighed down by a heavy key chain, it can change from the “ON” position to the “ACC” position. The shift can cause the vehicle to lose power to its safety systems, including the power steering, power brakes and airbag deployment systems.
